After a stray .45-caliber bullet hit Raluca Buznea, 31, of Waukesha, at a nearby diner, the operating permit of the Hartland Sportsman’s Club has been revoked.
According to neighbors near the gun club, there have been numerous safety violations at the club, over the years.
Buznea, on the patio of the nearby Delafield Brewhaus, suffered a scratch and a bruise, was treated at a local hospital and released.
The State Crime Laboratory matched the bullet to a handgun being used at the gun club.
According to a story in the Journal Sentinel , “Police said four men fired the .45-caliber handgun involved and officers were unable to determine which man fired the errant round. Police concluded that it appeared the four fired the weapon in a safe manner and criminal charges were not recommended.”
Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel, reviewed the case, agreeing that the incident was not criminal.
